Some small UI changes coming to Field Service mobile in early 2026 that will actually make a noticeable difference for frontline teams.

Update-1: Show Column Labels in Mobile Lists
(General Availability – Feb 2026)

The Power Apps Grid control on mobile can now display column labels before their values in list views. It also allows more columns to be shown by removing avatar icons, making lists tighter and easier to scan.
Instead of opening records just to understand what a value represents, users can now see the label + value together in the list itself.

Why this matters:

Frontline technicians can differentiate records at a glance. Fewer clicks. Faster decisions. Better task throughput.

How to enable:

-> Open the table view used in the mobile app
-> Edit the grid control properties
-> Set Show Column Names for List View = Yes
-> Save and publish

The change reflects in the mobile app after the next sync.

Scope:

-> UI-level setting (no feature flag required)
-> Configured per view
-> Optimized for smaller screens

Enabled for: Admins, Makers, Analysts

Update-2: Disable Click on Lookup Values in Forms
(General Availability – Mar 2026)

You can now disable click-through on lookup values in forms. When turned off, the lookup displays as plain text instead of a hyperlink — preventing accidental navigation.

This works across both web and mobile.

Why this matters:

In Field Service scenarios, technicians often tap through unintentionally and lose context. Disabling lookup click-through keeps them focused, reduces cognitive load, and improves task flow.

How to enable:
-> Edit the form in Power Apps
-> Select the lookup field
-> Choose Disable click-through of lookup value
-> Save and publish

The mobile app reflects the change after sync.

Scope:

-> UI-level configuration
-> Set per form
-> Works for both web and mobile
-> Can be reverted anytime by re-enabling click-through

Enabled for: Admins, Makers, Analysts

These are not big headline features, but they are practical improvements that reduce friction in real-world Field Service implementations.

Sometimes, small UX tweaks deliver the biggest productivity gains.
